Mystery Lift Challenge - July 1-15, 2009

Welcome to the Mystery Lift challenge for July 1-15, 2009! I am so excited to be the new host for this challenge!

This is similar to a speed scrap, but without the speed. And it’s similar to a scraplift, but you don’t get to see the layout you’re scraplifting until the challenge is over! Hence the mystery. I’ll be back to show you the layout we’re lifting on July 16.

Remember the rules:

* Be sure to upload your layout to the Mystery Layout Challenge
Gallery, and be sure to include credits so we know what products you have used. Then come back to this thread and post a link to your layout by 11:59 p.m. EST on July 15 so you’ll get credit for playing.

* You’ll earn 1 point for completing this challenge.

* You can earn 1 extra point by using predominantly MLAS goodies on your layout.

* You may only get credit for the layout once, no duplication.

Ready to get started? Here’s what you will need:

* 1 solid background paper.

* 2 photos.

* Place 1 triple frame on end so the photos stack on top of each other. Put it in the lower right corner of the layout. Leave 1-2 inches of space below it and to the right of it. (If you don’t have a triple frame, you can either make your own, or stack 3 individual frames vertically.)

* Place your 2 photos in the bottom two spaces of the frame. Fill the top photo space with a patterned paper.

* 1 swirl peeking out from behind the left side of the bottom photo.

* 9 flowers underneath the bottom photo, preferably in a line and not in one big cluster.

* 1 small journaling tag/strip with a one-word title near the bottom left corner of the bottom photo.

* 1 string (swirly, in a bow, whatever you want) overlapping the top of the frame.

* Put the date on the right edge of the layout, 2-3 inches from the bottom. Turn the text so it is going up the side of the page.

* Don’t forget to add your drop shadows!

Here is mine! I put the date in the wrong spot because, apparently, I don't know my right from my left. Oh, and there really are nine flowers at the bottom of the photo! Promise!
