Oct. 1-15, 2009 Mystery Lift Challenge

Welcome to the Mystery Lift challenge for October 1-15, 2009!

This is similar to a speed scrap, but without the speed. And it’s similar to a scraplift, but you don’t get to see the layout you’re scraplifting until the challenge is over! Hence the mystery. I’ll be back to show you the layout we’re lifting on October 16th.

Remember the rules:

* Be sure to upload your layout to the Mystery Layout Challenge
Gallery, and be sure to include credits so we know what products you have used. Then come back to this thread and post a link to your layout by 11:59 p.m. EST on October 15 so you’ll get credit for playing.

* You’ll earn 1 point for completing this challenge.

* You can earn 1 extra point by using predominantly MLAS goodies on your layout.

* You may only get credit for the layout once, no duplication.

You can look here for a complete list of rules about the challenges. And don’t forget to go here to track your points for October.

Ready to get started? Here’s what you will need:

* 1 patterned background paper.

* 1 horizontal photo, approximately 5x7 inches.

* Put a frame around the photo.

* Add 3 decorative paper squares (approx. 2 ¼ x 2 ¼ inches each) lined up horizontally under the photo and frame. Use your own judgement as to what looks best on your layout for the final size of the three squares, as long as all three squares are the same size.

* Put 3 buttons on the left edge of the frame.

* Hang the frame from the top of the layout by placing a ribbon near the upper right corner of the frame (behind it).

* Use an alpha to add a one word title to the lower right corner of the photo.

* Add a subtitle to the lower left corner of the layout (the “when” and the “where”).

* Don’t forget to add your drop shadows!
